Cleaning Escalator Steps: Work Procedure

  1. Detergent (ESW-FK-III) is sprayed on the steps and risers using an atomizer, to dissolve the oily dirt.
  2. A riser brush is used to wipe the riser surfaces from bottom to top to remove the oily dirt.
  3. The escalator cleaner is positioned on the landing plate. The oily dirt on the steps is removed as the steps move (i.e., the escalator is activated). (BC-1200)
  4. Detergent (ESW-ALP-50) is sprayed on the risers and the steps are then vacuum cleaned by connecting a hose to the wet nozzle (RW-280).
