Handrail belts are positioned on both sides of escalators. They move at the same speed as the steps.
The purpose of the handrail belts is to prevent people from falling over, so users are instructed to hold the handrails.

Since they are directly touched by human hands, the handrails need to be kept clean.
Although people can protect themselves against bacteria and viruses by sterilizing, disinfecting, and other kinds of antimicrobial measures, the most effective approach is to eliminate the dirt.

Escalator handrail belts are made of rubber. Removing dirt from rubber is considered technically difficult.
This is because rubber has only a weak resistance to solvents and alkalis.
For this reason, many different methods of removing dirt by polishing handrail surfaces have been applied.

What is special about ZENKAN’s handrail cleaning system is that we have developed our own detergent that can safely and effectively remove dirt from rubber—something no one has successfully done before.
This detergent has allowed us to reduce the time it takes to clean handrail belts and also to reduce the cost of our service.
The drying time of our coating agent is also faster than that of any other company.
