Cleaning Handrails: Explanation of Detergents and Coating Agents
(1) Handrail detergent: ESW-ALPB5010
Safe for use with rubber.
- Strong cleaning power.
- No need for rinsing, because no detergent residue remains.
(2) Coating agent No. 1 (membrane-forming acrylic resin): ESC-EC
This coating agent offers excellent adhesion with rubber.
- It retains a strong abrasion resistance for a long time.
- Excellent gloss
The glossy look of handrails is important for an attractive appearance, so this is an essential factor in judging the quality of a coating agent. Since handrail belts are constantly bent during operation, a good coating agent needs to have good plasticity (flexibility).
- The excellent evenness (smoothness) of the coating gives the handrail surface a very attractive mirror-like appearance.
- Even the best coatings will deteriorate and wear out with extended use, so it will eventually be necessary to remove the old coating.
When necessary, the coating can be removed using a detergent.
(3) Coating agent No. 2 (non-membrane-forming fluororesin): ESC-FUs
One of the strengths of fluororesin is that it makes it difficult for dirt to stick to its surface.
Fluororesin also creates a soothing, glossy look that is unique.
